Our Story

Family-Owned Since 1983

Bob's Metals was founded in 1983 by Bob Weinstein with a simple philosophy: treat every customer honestly, respond quickly, and always look for ways to deliver more value. What started as a small operation has grown into one of Portland's most respected scrap metal recycling facilities.

Now a second-generation family business led by Mike and David Weinstein, we operate a 14-acre facility on N Interstate Avenue equipped with state-of-the-art processing equipment, certified scales, and a dedicated team of industry professionals.

We're also proud to operate one of the most environmentally responsible facilities in the Pacific Northwest, with a state-of-the-art zero-discharge stormwater management system that treats 100% of runoff on-site.
